====== Maps ======

Locus Map Lite offers a selection of maps covering the whole world:
  * **LoMaps** - hiking and biking maps, based on OpenStreetMap Data, displaying a network of marked hiking and biking routes. Available both online and offline.
  * **LoMaps Ski** - based on OpenStreetMap Data, maps for winter activities with ski slopes and groomed and marked routes for Nordic skiing. Available online.
  * **Satellite** - aerial and satellite imagery map based on HERE/Maxar data
  * **Satellite hybrid** - aerial and satellite imagery map based on HERE/Maxar data with labels (street names etc.)
===== Selection =====
To select a particular map, open the map selection on the main screen and select:\\ {{ :manual:ios11.gif?nolink |}}
By default, the app **automatically combines offline LoMaps** (when downloaded) and auxiliary data that is streamed from the internet (LoPoint photos, terrain shading...). You can change this default to **online only** or **offline only**:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios133.gif?nolink |}}
===== Download =====
If you want to use the app in areas without an internet connection, download an offline LoMap of the area:
  * tap **Download offline map** in the main menu
  * **select** a map and tap it to open its detail screen
  * tap **Download**
  * when the map is downloaded, it's marked with the phone symbol:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios134.gif?nolink |}}
