Unlike imported points or tracks items are autonomous files (KML, KMZ, GPX, JSON) that can be processed by Locus Map without direct importing them. The files can contain points, tracks or both and other information and they preserve their inner properties (e.g. GroundOverlays or rotating of points in KML files) - they are placed in temporary memory and all their changes are lost when Locus Map is closed.
