Speed units can be set as default and individually for water sports.

Other units like elevation, altitude, energy and pace are set generally for all activities.
==== Photos ====
This setting contains a few controls for the upload of user photos to LoPoints:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios99.jpg?nolink |}}
  * **Enable LoPoint photo upload** - de/actives the option to attach user's photos to various places on the map
  * **Upload over WiFi only** - disables uploading over the GSM network to save user's data costs
  * **Copy photos to photo library** - duplicates the attached photos to the iOS system library and iCloud

==== Map screen ====

  * **Keep display on** - prevents the screen from going off, useful when driving. Not recommended when the device is not being charged.
  * **Puck color, halo color** - allows customization of the location and orientation indicator:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios101.jpg?nolink |}}

==== Locus cloud ====
Configuration of the synchronization with the web library and other devices.\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios102.jpg?nolink |}}
  * **Activate synchonization** - de/activates automatic [[manual:ios:my_lib#synchronization|synchronization]] between Locus Map web library and other devices linked to one Locus account
  * **Synchronize over wifi only** - disallows syncing over mobile data
  * **Sync now** - triggers manual synchronization
  * **Status** - information about the latest sync - data/time, type of data synced

===== Locus Account =====
==== What is it for? ====

It's necessary to have a Locus account if you want to use the following services:
  * **Premium** features like [[manual:ios:map_screen#map_selection|satellite maps]] and [[manual:ios:my_lib#synchronization|cloud data synchronization]]
  * adding **[[manual:ios:lopoints#user_photos|your photos to LoPoints]]** and review photos of other users
==== Sign up ====
You can create a new account with **Apple ID, Google, Facebook** or your **e-mail** address:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios95.jpg?nolink |}}\\ Signing up with an authentication service is fast and simple, using a classic e-mail requires a bit more:
=== E-mail ===

If you choose this option, you're prompted to insert your e-mail address and use one of the two options:
  * tap **Create new account** > add a password 2x > check your mailbox for a verification email > click the verification link in it > your account is ready.
  * tap **Send sign-up link** > tap the sign-up link in your mailbox > your account is ready (best for those who don't want to use and remember another password)
==== User profile ====
When you are signed up and logged into your Locus account, your **user profile name and e-mail address** display on the main menu header:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios104.jpg?nolink |}}\\ Tapping the user name opens the **user profile detail**:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios105.jpg?nolink |}}
=== My Premium ===
This section indicates the status of your **Premium subscription**. When you don't have Premium subscribed there is a button to **activate** it. Here's what you can get:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios110.jpg?nolink |}}\\ Select your **Premium plan**:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios111.png?nolink |}}
**You can unsubscribe at any time in your Apple account settings.** Subscriptions purchased on Google Play or in the Android version of the app can only be canceled [[manual:faq:subs_cancel|there]].
=== Edit profile ===

Here you can change your
  * **Personal info** - account name, gender, year of birth, country and language
  * **Profile picture** - the picture is shown to the people visiting your **[[manual:user_guide:locus_store:user_profile#my_lopoints_photos|public photo gallery]]**
  * **Change password** - available only when you are logged in via **email/password**. Not available for Apple ID, Google and Facebook logins.
  * **Delete account** - after selecting this option, the process of deleting your **Locus account and all associated data** is started

=== Account deletion ===

  * your **[[manual:user_guide:premium|Premium]]** features are deactivated, e.g. you lose access to the web library
  * your **[[manual:user_guide:points:locus_maps_pois#user_photos|photos attached to LoPoints]]** and ratings of other photos are deleted
  * your e-mail address and other authentication items are removed from our servers

This process is very complex and engages several services, so it can take a few workdays to complete.
==== My LoPoint photos ====
Your **gallery of photos** that you attach to **[[manual:ios:lopoints#user_photos|LoPoints]]**.\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios107.jpg?nolink |}}\\ You can **sort** the photos by various criteria:\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios109.jpg?nolink |}}\\ Tapping a thumbnail opens the **detail** of the photo. Here you can **delete** the photo.\\ {{ :manual:ios:ios108.jpg?nolink |}}
